The hand tracker counts all the hands you made, whether you won the game or not. It's possible you made a hand (which gets added to the tracker), but your opponent had a hand (or hands) with more points, so you lost that game. It's also possible, you had two Mah Jonggs in the same game, in which case there will be 2 completed hands recorded but only one win.
