Our Story

I Love Mahj was initially created to help a growing Mah Jongg group in Texas organize their games more easily.

Here's their story:

“We love taking turns hosting weekly Mah Jongg games from our homes, but managing the invites, RSVPs, who is bringing what (chairs, sets, tables), maximum number of players we can accommodate, waiting lists, etc. was becoming increasingly difficult and error-prone as our group expanded.

One of our members got chatting with her husband (a software engineer) and I Love Mahj was born! It instantly made organizing our large in-person games an absolute breeze.”

Since its inception in 2014, I Love Mahj has grown to include learning tools, ways to find local players and mahj-related gifts.

We were very excited to launch our online game in December 2020!

We hope you enjoy using the I Love Mahj website as much as we've enjoyed building it.
